Wellspring Alberta
To raise money to fund their programs, Wellspring hosts many events throughout the year. Their biggest events are: the Firefighter Stairclimb Challenge in Calgary, Cancervive in Banff, and the Skyline Rush Challenge.
Events
In 2025, Wellspring launched its newest event: the Skyline Rush Challenge. Participants raised money and rappelled 265ft off the Sandman Hotel in Downtown Edmonton in support of people living with cancer.
Having joined the Wellspring team as few months earlier, I decided to participate to immerse myself in the experience.
Annual Gratitude Report
Each year, non-profits release an Annual Gratitude Report, a donor-centered, often visual document created by non-profits to thank supporters for their contributions over the fiscal year. Unlike traditional, data-heavy reports, it focuses on storytelling, emotional connection, and demonstrating the direct impact of donations by highlighting stories, photos, and outcomes.
Culturally Grounded Support
Wellspring Alberta launched a pilot program, Saath (Cancer Support) aimed at helping people in the South Asian community access culturally grounded cancer support. We work with South Asian organizations to advertise our new program, to reach people where they’re at.
